Under the direction of the Executive Director of Nursing Operations and in collaboration with the President and within established agency policy and procedure, the Branch Director plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates daily operations of the respective Westwood Branch.


Provides superior customer service to internal and external clients, customers, and patients.Responsible for the direct supervision of the Clinical Managers and administrative office staff, delegating responsibility and authority appropriately; ensures that delegated responsibilities are carried out as directed.Ensures daily operations incorporate administrative, clinical, non-clinical, and performance improvement.Ensures compliance with all federal, state and Joint Commission rules and regulations.

Oversees fiscal operations of the branch office in accordance with the goals and objectives of the agency.Identifies and resolves operational issues affecting the branch.Assesses staffing needs and collaborates with Human Resources regarding interviewing and hiring of staff.Acts as a resource to supervisor(s) and clinicians.

Provides leadership to the clinical manager, office, and clinical teams.Adheres to agency annual goals, objectives and budget; ensures implementation of agencys goals and objectives through management staff.Monitors and assumes accountability for branch case-mix, percentage of staff visits and quality outcomes, as well as efficient and effective use of staff.

Develops branch strategies and ensures their alignment and consistency of execution with each other and with the agencys strategic goals.Responsible for patient satisfaction and staff retention; participates in the planning and implementation of staff retention activities.Provides Executive Director of Nursing Operations with practice and budgetary assessments.Allocates resources appropriately.Acts as a role model to others; mentors manager(s) as well as staff.

Has 24-hour accountability for branch.Assumes responsibilities as delegated for the Executive Director of Nursing Operations in his/her absence.


Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing required.BSN Required, MSN preferred.Must possess current MA Nursing License.Must possess current valid drivers license.Must have five years experience in certified home health operations.Must have demonstrated competence and satisfactory performance with direct patient care for a minimum of five years, two years of which should be in a Home Health setting.

Demonstrated leadership and managerial experience is required.Possesses working knowledge of third party reimbursement as well as regulatory requirements.Working knowledge of homecare reimbursement.Working knowledge of Oasis documentation.Working knowledge of computer and ability to learn home care software package.
